Although bathed in Christian values and beliefs, we are not a church. We may host prayer vigils and bible studies, but most of our work is done after church.
After Church Connections is a mission-driven organization dedicated to addressing financial disparities arising from both generational and situational poverty. We are committed to challenging the damaging stereotypes that often accompany poverty, advocating for the inherent strength and potential in every individual. By fostering meaningful connections, we aim to expand social capital, enhance access to vital resources, and provide support that prevents the devastating effects of poverty, including its impact on mental health and well-being. Our work is rooted in compassion, community education, and a relentless drive to uplift lives and create sustainable change.
At After Church Connections, our Push Past Poverty initiative is a Faith-Based Life Recovery Program designed to empower individuals to break the cycle of poverty and achieve lasting stability. We provide practical tools, coaching, advocacy, and resource connections to help participants build a better quality of life while focusing on life empowerment and personal growth.
• Life Empowerment: Equipping individuals with the confidence, skills, and resources to overcome challenges and create sustainable success in all areas of life.
• Finance Fitness Classes: Interactive workshops that teach budgeting, saving, and financial planning strategies for improved money management.
• Coaching, Advocacy, and Resource Connections: Personalized coaching and advocacy to guide participants on their journey, along with access to vital resources to support their goals and overcome barriers.
• Economic Boosters: Assistance with utilities and small emergencies to provide critical support during challenging times.
• Accountability Partners: Supportive relationships that encourage participants to stay on track and achieve their goals.
Through a Faith-Based approach, we address the physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of each individual’s life. By combining discipleship, practical education, advocacy, and ongoing support, participants can overcome obstacles, set achievable goals, and create a path to long-term stability.
